What motorbike should I get for this purpose?
I am planning to get a motorbike. I always dreamed of getting an adventure motorbike. Similar to those they use in Dakar. You see I want it to travel a lot and sometimes on off road. But as I asked before, I found out that the winner of Dakar Marc, used a KTM 450 but the original KTM450 is a motocross bike. So what should I do? Should I go for the BMW adventure bikes?
have you thought about a supermoto. suzuki, ktm, honda. are the three that i know right off the bat that make them. they basically motocross bikes that are made street legal. they are all the hype of the motorcycle world right now. i mean who ever thought there would be a day where you could drive a motocross bike on the road and in the trails. theres always been the street and trails but they lacked the lightness and the power that the motocross bikes have. these supermotos are insane. every time ive seen one since they came out they have been on the back wheel lol. and just because they have been made street legal definately doesnt mean they are any less capable than a normal motocross bike. they will fly in the dirt or on the asphalt. take a look at some of those just for a suggestion. those dealers i mentioned earlier are definately selling supermotos. hope that helped.
