Yamaha Roadstar Midnight Questions
what lenght cables over stock for 05 yamaha roadstar with 17" kong bars, stock riser?
I have a 05 midnight roadstar and want to put on the 17" kong bars, and would like to know what the lenght cables over stock with the stock risers, would I need? Noone has given me the same answer, and the fact that I cant return the cables, I do not want to buy the wrong size cables. If you could help me out, I'd be much appreicated

Looking to buy another bike?
Right now I have a 06 Yamaha roadstar midnight silverado and a Ninja. My Yamaha's a big bike with lots of chrome. I'm looking to sell her and for my next purchase, I want something that doesn't take so much to maintain. My bikes are my main mode of transportation, actually my only mode since I live in So Cal and can ride all year round, but I want something that won't take me hours every week to keep clean, polishing chrome and such. Also looking for a bike that doesn't cost so much to replace tires. It costs me about 500 dollars to replace my Yamaha tires. I replace them 2 or 3 times a year, so I want something that's less expensive with that.
I'd prefer a belt driven bike since there's no maintenance there, but I'm sure that's part of why it costs more to replace the tires since I could it myself with a chain.
Preferably a bike with hard bags, or at least something lockable. Any suggestions?
A comfortable bike, I do long rides too.
I love my BMW for all the reasons you talk about. Its not belt drive but shaft. Maintenance is very low and the bike just runs. They have options for lockable bags and some have built in bags. I suggest you check them out at your local dealer.
